Why Choose this Book? How We Make Decisions
by Read Montague
Read Montague is a professor in the department of neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine, director of the Human Neuroimaging Lab, and director of the Center for Theoretical Neuroscience. He is currently a fellow at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton. This book is an accessible, fascinating look at how the brain works from a computational point of view.
Why bother to read it?
It is a new look that runs counter to the dogma that we previously (and in many cases still do) use to describe the brain’s way of deciding. It is a fun read.
