In the past 10 years, we have learned more about the brain and how it functions than in entire past history of mankind. What researchers have learned recently challenges some of our dogmas regarding how the brain functions and how we learn.
One of the exciting aspects of new neuroscience is that we can take what has been discovered in the basic research and develop new tools and techniques for learning that are more appropriate to the way the brain actually functions.
